Keep the legacy growing for the next 20 years

Dear friends,

Looking back upon our founding year, Mackinac Arts Council hosted three keystone events in 2003. This set the stage for the next 20 years of enriching the Mackinac Island community through art with over 100 events being produced in 2023! None of this would be possible without the continued commitment of you, our supporters.

As we celebrate our 21th Anniversary year in 2024, we invite you to donate to Mackinac Arts Council now to keep the legacy growing the next 20 years.

Thank you for your support! We look forward to seeing you at many of our upcoming events. Please follow us on facebook.com/mackinacartscouncil and sign up for our FREE newsletter at mackinacartscouncil.org

(Left) International Employee Celebrations. Norma, a Mackinac Island chef, made authentic Mexican tacos for our Latin Celebration employee concert. She was pleased to learn the celebration was for her Latin friends on Mackinac as well as to teach others about her culture. Over four hundred Island residents and employees attended these celebrations and helped build a sense of community among us.

(Center) Poetic Visions of Mackinac, a mix of poetry with visual image, brought joy to younger and older Mackinac Island residents and visitors. Pictured here Mackinac Island school children share their self-portraits with their mom.

(Right) Music on the Trail attracted over 200 hikers, thanks to partnerships with Mackinac Historic State Park and the Mackinac Island Community Foundation. This new pilot program was created in response to a 2021 survey of employees, residents, and visitors who shared they wanted to enjoy art and music outdoors in nature.
